Common questions
Are the plugins really free?
Yes. Free to download and free to use, commercial work included. No trial period, no watermark, no nag screen, and nothing held back behind a payment.
Then why is there a donate button?
Donations are not payment for the software. They are support, so the work can carry on and the plugins can stay free. Nothing changes if you never click it.
Do I need an account or a licence key?
No. Download the installer and run it.
Do I need iLok or a dongle?
No.
My computer says the developer cannot be verified
Expect that. The installers are unsigned, because the certificates that remove the warning cost several hundred a year and the plugins are free. The warning is about a missing certificate, not about the file being unsafe.
macOS — right-click the installer, choose Open, then Open again.
Windows — click More info, then Run anyway.
Which formats do you build?
VST3 and AU, 64-bit. What each plugin supports is listed on its own page.
Which DAWs work?
Anything that hosts VST3 or AU: Cubase, Studio One, Reaper, Ableton Live, Logic, FL Studio, Bitwig.
How many machines can I install on?
As many as you own or control.
Can I use these on tracks I sell?
Yes. Records, mixes, masters, sync, games. No royalty and no extra licence.
Can I share the installer?
Please link to the plugin page instead, so people always get the current build. The reasoning is on the piracy policy page.
Will you keep updating them?
Plugins get fixes for as long as they are listed here. Anything retired stays downloadable but stops receiving updates.
Something not behaving?
Blocked installers, plugins that will not scan, anything that misbehaves under load.
